Our services include meeting with clients or their representatives to explain each step of the process involved in liquidating the contents of their estate.
You will receive a guesstimate of what the contents may bring.
EVALUATION OF PROPERTY
An accurate evaluation is vital to the success of a sale. For example, you would not want a lamp worth $3500 sold for $450, nor a painting worth thousands sold for $200.
It is important to select professionals who have the experience and expertise to do the job properly and efficiently--professionals who can obtain the highest possible return for their clients.
Every sale is priced and reviewed by three or more personal property appraisers. Additionally, we maintain close relationships with experts in various fields, including art, jewelry, and antiques.
Whether the item is a rare book, an oriental rug, or a valuable oil painting, we are experts who will make an accurate evaluation. There is no additional charge for the use of our outside resources.
MARKETING & ADVERTISING
Our marketing expertise results in a large number of potential buyers attending our client's sales.
Sales are effectively advertised in newspapers and other media. We e-mail sales information to thousands of potential buyers, plus we also list the sales on this website.
Additionally, bright yellow signs are placed in the neighborhood to draw people to the sale.
We also promote the sales each week on the "Sales Hotline" phone number and make direct phone calls and personal contact with many collectors and dealers listed in our catalogue of buyers.
SALE ITEMS ARE ATTRACTIVELY & EFFECTIVELY DISPLAYED
Our staff of trained professionals will prepare the home for the sale. All sale items are appropriately and attractively displayed throughout the home.
Better jewelry is placed under glass, and other valuables are put where they can be closely supervised by a salesperson.
EVERY ASPECT OF THE SALE IS CAREFULLY ORGANIZED AND EXECUTED
When a sale begins, we welcome potential buyers into the home in an orderly fashion, preventing overcrowding and confusion, which could result in theft or breakage. Potential buyers are then free to walk through the home to select items they wish to purchase. Bids are taken throughout the days of the sale.
A salesperson records each item selected for purchase. Items are then brought to the cashier and, after payment in full, buyers are allowed to remove their purchases.
Buyers have the option to pay by cash or check, or to charge their purchases on Visa or Mastercard.
When requested, we can put down runners or plastic on high traffic areas, or have customers remove their shoes.
Security guards are available during a sale upon request.
FEES ARE NEGOTIATED
Fees for the above services are negotiated at the time of consultation and are based on a percentage of the gross sales.
After the sale, clients receive a check reflecting the deductions agreed upon, as well as an accurate accounting of all sales and income.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
APPRAISALS
We also do professional appraisals for insurance purposes, probate court, bankruptcy, tax evaluation, family division, and for charitable donation.
CONSIGNMENT SALES
We maintain a location where estates, partial estates, and collections from local or out of town sites can be moved to and sold.
